The Huntington Park Police Department is very community oriented. Its involvement with the community is greatly noted by the variety of programs offered to those who live in the City of Huntington Park. The Youth Services Division is an entity of the Huntington Park Police Department whose main focus is the youth in the community.

The Youth Services Division is led and directed by a Sergeant and a Community Service Officer. Both work together in the coordination and implementation of various youth programs for the youth in the community. The Division Offers the following programs:

The Department has also resurrected the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program in the Middle Schools and Elementary Schools within the City of Huntington Park. D.A.R.E.’s primary mission is to provide children with the appropriate information and skills they need to live a drug and violence free life.
